Hopkinsville, Kentucky Pennyroyal Scuba Quarry, this is a great place for diving. The water is amazingly clear, and they have several different items in the water for you to search for, ranging from an old fire truck to a chopper. I recommend this site for anyone that dives near the Nashville area, wishing to remain close and have a great, safe atmosphere.  It is most impressive. There is plenty of parking, the depth goes to more than 100 feet and there are plenty of items to locate under the water. There is also plenty of area to camp overnight.

Martha’s Quarry, Located in Lebanon, Tennessee.

On July 16th, 2006 I dove in this Quarry and went through a rock crusher, they also have 2 pump houses, and a tour bus on the bottom, as well as other items. Go to a local dive shop there to get your tickets ($20), because if you go directly to Martha’s Quarry, it will cost you $30.00 to get in.

If you know of any other local dive areas, please let me know and I will post them here. Let me know of prices, location and statistical information about the dive site if possible.

With any luck, this August, I will be going to Pensacola, FL to dive at the sunken ship, the USS Oriskany. It was recently sunken 24 miles off the shore line to make a new reef. The top of the ship is roughly 60 feet under and the keel is roughly 200 feet.
