Using a drysuit is far easier said than done. There are two controls that you use to rise, fall, or maintain your position. Knowing when to use these controls and watching your decent / ascent rate can be tricky to master for a beginner.
Getting into the suit in itself is a bit of an adventure. I would still be struggling to get in the suit of not for a spray that Alan brought.
The suit keeps the cold away from the core of the body, and does it quite effectively. The only portion of you that even remotely gets wet is your face, but your head is covered by a hood (definitely gonna have to get me one of those). The hands and feet get a little colder than the rest of you but is still manageable.
I look forward to using the dry suit again, it is definitely a kewl experience, especially when you get out of the water and unzip the suit (if you have used one before, you know what I am talking about).
